JOHN VENEGAS JUAREZ is a rising junior at Princeton University. He majors in History with certificates in Theater and Latin American studies. From dancing Cumbia to performing Shakespeare, his talents and interests are diverse like his hometown: the great city of Houston, Texas.
As an aspiring playwright-performer, John strives to break the status quo and actively incorporates themes of Queerness and Latinidad in his creative work. John mainly collaborates with Princeton’s Lewis Center for the Arts, performing in plays and new musicals (sometimes abroad!). Most recently, John attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts this past spring semester, where he was a selected performer in the school’s musical theater fundraiser, Encore!.
John is excited and grateful for the opportunity to work with the Sol Project this summer. ¡Pa’delante amiguis!
